The simplest salsa to adapt however you like! Feeling tropical? Add a diced mango. Feeling spicy? Double the jalapeño. Hate bell pepper? Nix it. Add this to your tacos, offer it with chips to hangry guests, jazz up your next burrito bowl — whatever your salsa needs may be, this delivers.
Ingredients
- 3 large tomatoes
- 1/2 bunch of cilantro
- 1 small bell pepper
- 1 small onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 jalapeño pepper
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- Salt & pepper to taste
Preparation
- If using a food processor: Roughly chop bell pepper, onion, garlic and jalapeño. Add to food processor and pulse until very fine.
- Roughly chop tomatoes and cilantro. Add all remaining ingredients to the food processor and pulse until tomatoes are in small pieces.
- If chopping by hand, finely dice tomatoes and cilantro then mince the bell pepper, onion, garlic and jalapeño. Add all ingredients to a large bowl and mix until well incorporated.
