Salsa Fresca

The simplest salsa to adapt however you like! Feeling tropical? Add a diced mango. Feeling spicy? Double the jalapeño. Hate bell pepper? Nix it. Add this to your tacos, offer it with chips to hangry guests, jazz up your next burrito bowl — whatever your salsa needs may be, this delivers.


Ingredients

  • 3 large tomatoes
  • 1/2 bunch of cilantro
  • 1 small bell pepper
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 jalapeño pepper
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • Salt & pepper to taste


Preparation

  1. If using a food processor: Roughly chop bell pepper, onion, garlic and jalapeño. Add to food processor and pulse until very fine.
  2. Roughly chop tomatoes and cilantro. Add all remaining ingredients to the food processor and pulse until tomatoes are in small pieces.
  3. If chopping by hand, finely dice tomatoes and cilantro then mince the bell pepper, onion, garlic and jalapeño. Add all ingredients to a large bowl and mix until well incorporated.
